3 Steps to Quality Self-Time

✨Time alone is time well spent✨

Finding alone time isn’t always easy. In today’s world we are surrounded by constant events, notifications, responsibilities and interruptions. However, I’ve noticed that whenever I do have time reserved for myself, I feel the most recharged, most inspired, and most creative! It’s like that “high” you get from returning from a vacation. It’s pretty euphoric! Here are some tips that help me secure some me time 😊

1. You must make alone time a PRIORITY. Whether it’s 30 minutes or a couple hours or a day dedicated just for YOU. When something becomes a priority, other things become less significant and easier to save for later. You are just as important as everything on your To-Do List. You matter too.

2. You must identify EXACTLY what you want to accomplish during alone time. Whether it’s to get a facial, a massage, your nails done, finish that book, take that spin class, or just get started on that project you’ve been putting off, just be sure to clearly define a list of exactly what you will commit to getting done.

3. You must SCHEDULE alone time in your calendar. Make that appointment with yourself. When we set a date and time for something, the universe miraculously rearranges all other obligations and commitments around it 🤷🏻‍♀️. And about 99% of the time, your loved ones/significant other who support you, will usually honor and respect you for taking that time to respect yourself. One of my favorite quotes of all time was from Anthony Robbins, who said:

“When you envision something, it’s a dream.

When you talk about it, it’s possible.

But when you SCHEDULE it, it’s REAL.”
